The Altus Resource Trust is a New Zealand based organisation that works with groups in the Pacific Islands as well as one in India, who provide therapy services. We have NZ physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech language therapists, wheelchair technicians and therapists involved in training field workers and some physios in these organisations, when they don't have the skill base required to work effectively, particularly with children with cerebral palsy or people with spinal injuries. Altus Resource Trust also ships equipment such as wheelchairs, standing frames and walkers as needed. We are involved with organisations in Samoa, Vanuatu, Tonga, and Kakinada (in Andhra Prahesh, India)
The Altus Resource Trust trustees are motivated by their by their faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that we can make a difference to the lives of people who have fewer resources than we have in New Zealand.
Sue Donnell is a New Zealand registered physiotherapist, and our project manager. Sue commenced her work with children with disabilities in Kakinada, India in 2002, and now coordinates our work in the Pacific Islands.
